Self-Cleaning Crystals

Question: Could you please tell me which crystals do not require cleaning/charging. Thanks.
Answer: Hi, as you know, most stones
need to be cleaned and charged regularly. However, some crystals are
self cleansing. These include Rainbow Obsidian and Citrine. There are
also certain formations that do not need to be charged, because they
themselves are chargers for smaller stones. Large clusters, geodes, and
selenite logs do not need to be charged. Bowls and cups also do not
need to be charged if you are using them as chargers.
Although
these crystals do not need to be charged, we still recommend cleaning
them once in awhile. Larger crystals can be easily cleaned with sage or
incense:
You can
conveniently clean them by waving the sage smoke over them while you are
cleaning your other stones. Of course, positive intention is the most
important part of the entire cleaning-charging-programming process.

Meteorite Message from Mars
A Martian meteorite, an incredibly rare object, has been given to science to help unravel the Red Planet's secrets.
Researchers will look for minerals formed in the presence of water, and for any signs of organics - carbon-rich molecules.
Energy, water, a source of carbon are the prerequisites for
life as we know it. Finding evidence for any of these phenomena in
Tissint tells scientists something about how habitable Mars might have
been in the past.
"It's a messenger from Mars," said Prof Andrew Coates from
the UCL Mullard Space Science Laboratory. "It allows you to look back at
the history of Mars and its formation. It's a history lesson on what
Mars' atmosphere was like years ago - could there ever have been the
right conditions for life?"

Strengthening Sphincter for Heart Burns
Working with crystals can help ease heart burns. After traveling to India for two weeks, the long hours on the plane, the jet lag and the lack of exercise gave me my first uncomfortable sensations of heart burn. To help alleviate this pain, I used Moonstone to soothe the stomach and Fluorite to calm the nerves. Another crystal that will help strengthen the sphincter is the Power Stone, Malachite.
Heartburn usually occurs after eating or while lying down or bending. This means that your esophageal sphincter is weakened. The weakened valve allows stomach acid to flow into your esophagus instead of keeping it in its place! Pressure on the sphincter muscle from excess weight, overeating, or in my case, sitting for long periods of time, can cause this weakening of the valve.
Use healing crystal energy to help strengthen this valve. Other home remedies you will want to try are sitting upright while digesting, exercising and chewing gum or other foods that create a lot of saliva, which helps push back the acid into place!

Packing up Crystals for the Move

Another chapter ends for Satin Crystals as we securely packed up the remaining crystals to be moved down to our place of origin, Orange County! With the help of supportive friends, Lisa and I were able to get everything wrapped up in 2 days. Lisa will be moving Satin Crystals to Orange County once again, while I remain with I Dig Crystals here in San Francisco.
The move will not effect you, our beloved customers and friends, as both websites will remain active throughout!

How a Crystal brings Abundance.
Question: How exactly does a crystal work for abundance?
Answer: This
depends on how you program it. Basically all crystals are vibrating
at a certain positive energy because of the uniform way they are formed. By
placing your own intent into this vibration, you attract that certain vibration from
the universe to you. If you are familiar with the law of attraction, this is what we are using, but enhancing the experience with the power of the stones. This process can also be done with the sheer power of your own
mind, but as humans, it is easier to use other tools to bypass the
clutter of our conscious thoughts.
Depending
on the type of abundance you are seeking, you may place the stones in
the appropriate areas of the home, do meditations, visualization, chakra
layouts or wear them.

CRYSTALS: Dissolved Selenite
QUESTION: i was unaware that selenite should not be cleaned in water and haveleft my large selenite ball over night in water and salt . Now it has lost its shine all together and has become rough and chalk to touch. The local crystal lady has told me to leave it in the sun , which i am now doing. Can you give me any suggestions to recover the shine of the crystal ???
ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your email. Yes, Selenite and other soft stones will dissolve in water. We always prefer the dry brown rice or sage methods of cleaning, especially if you are unsure. At this point, the Selenite will not regain its shine unless you take it back to a professional stone polisher. You may want to check your local gemological association or any gem fairs or rock shops in your area for this service.

CRYSTALS: Portability
QUESTION: Hi i am very interested in buying the LAPIS LAZULI BALL 1.1" Blue Crystal Healing Sphere 01 and I was wondering if there is something I can use to keep it in so I can carry it with me. Or are the balls not for that purpose?
ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your email. You can definitely carry this portable Lapis sphere with you. It is best to carry it in a thick pouch, whether it be velvet, leather or cotton, something that will protect the surface while you are in transit!

CRYSTALS: Tip Chip
QUESTION: Hi Sheila, That is a great photo of the chip. I don't care about the bottom, but being you all are the experts tell me, does that small chip actually affect its healing or channeling properties? Thank you again.
ANSWER: Hi , the chip is at the tip are a personal preference as to use for energy healing work. For me, I have a large collection of chipped wands from the store and find them just as effective as perfect points. In my viewpoint, nature comes out with imperfect points all the time and they do not effect the healing energy.
Again, this is personal preference of how you view hand polished crystals and their energies.
