Crystal Healing for the Knees

Apatite Bracelet

QUESTION: Hey Sheila!!  Just stumbled on your blog… was looking for any info on best stones for the knees. Thanks.

ANSWER: For crystals for the knees, I would highly recommend Apatite, Malachite and Mochi Balls. Apatite is a blue-green stone that can be found raw, tumbled or bead form, it is a little more rare than your common stones. Malachite is a popular stone for strengthening joints. It is banded green and comes in many forms. It is a soft stone, so the beads are pricey because they easily break when manipulated. Mochi Balls are rough sandstone type clusters which are found in natural form. You will not easily find beads in this stone. This is a great stone for bones and joints as well.

If you need any other information, feel free to email me!

Sincerely,
Sheila Satin

QUESTION: Hello, maybe you can help me, what type of crystal would you use for hip pain (arthritis),I just bought a blood stone. Thanks.

ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your email. For arthritis and join pains we highly recommend using Mochi Balls over the affected area. Malachite is also another great stone which you can drink as an elixir (made through the indirect method) or place on your joints.

CRYSTALS: Joint Disease

QUESTION: Dear Sheila, I have been a customer of yours for the past few years. I'm 50 yrs old, slim build and 5'11". Have always been healthy and active. I have recently been diagnosed with a debilitating joint disease called Ankylosing spondylitis (AS), which is a chronic inflammatory disease of the axial skeleton. The name for the disorder is derived from the Greek root "ankylos", which means bent or crooked and "spondylos", which refers to a vertebra. The term "ankylosis" therefore refers to a fibrous or bony bridging of joints.

My symptoms consist of low back pain, buttocks pain, stooped posture, hip pain, knee pain, shoulder pain with limited mobility, and the most irritable symptom, fatigue.

I have many crystals but would like to know which ones you'd recommend.

I've changed my diet and am taking alot of vitamins & minerals. My MD just started me on Cymbalta to help with anxiety, pain and energy. I "hate" taking it and am on my 5th day of which it would take a month to start working. My whole being is saying not to take it, so what do I do, I take it. I'm just leery of "brain altering chemicals" and dont want to lose my "clarity" and sense of self if you know what mean.

Any suggestions you can offer, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you kindly,
Blessings.

ANSWER:
Hi, thank you for writing to us. First, let me say that you have the right state of mind in wanting to heal yourself without the chemical pills. Keep faith in those positive thoughts and you will be better in no time. Don't let "diagnosis" dictate your life. You are in control of you own destiny and if you want to live healthy for many years to come, it is up to you to make that happen!

That being said, I can recommend a few different crystals that have worked for other clients of ours. Of course, you may want to experiment and find the ones that will work best for you. LIke crystal healing books, we can guide you, but in the end, each one of us has different wavelenghts and will correspond to different crystals differently.

Lower Back Pain - place large pieces or several tumbled stones of Carnelian in the lower back region while lying down. Bones and Joints - use Mochi Balls (we have had the best results with these for those with bones, arthritis problems) by rubbing the affected areas and/or Malachite over the joints. Fatigue - Labradorite is a very motivational stone, used common in the athletic realm for endurance and Red Jasper for physical energy. Jasper also nurtures you in times of stress and illness. Of course, the Master Healer, Quartz is always effective in amplifying your energies and can be great in giving you strength, energetically and physically.

Please let us know how these crystals work for you! If you need any other advice or general support, we are just an email (or store visit) away!

Sincerely,
Sheila Satin

CRYSTALS: Arthritis

QUESTION: Hi Sheila,What types of crystals would be good for arthritis and osteoporosis? My hubby just had some x-rays done (the doctor said he needed to study the x-rays and will get back to us ) however the doctor did say Paul has arthritis and osteoporosis. Arthritis is in his neck the most. He also found a tumor on his spinal cord. Any help is appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day.

ANSWER: Hi, we have received great reports from arthritis clients after they have used Mochi (aka: Moqui or Shaman Stones) Balls on the affected areas. They rub these stones on the arthritic areas and it helps relieve the tension and return mobility. I would highly recommend mochi balls. Another thing he can do for bones, is to take a gem elixir of Calcite stones. let me know if you need any additional help or locating these stones.

Sincerely,

CRYSTALS: Joint Pain

QUESTION: What crystal would you recommend for joint pain, and how should I prepare it? I’m going to give this a try.

ANSWER: Resolving to give it a try is the first step to regaining control of your own health. There are several crystals effective for joint pain. I would recommend using Selenite to relieve any pains followed by Mochi Balls to strengthen the bones.

Selenite you can use any form that is comfortable for you to hold or place on the affected area. For example, a client of mine had sprained his wrist, which was wrapped in bandages, so we swept the energy around his wrist with a Selenite wand. We then inserted a thin Selenite wand inside of the bandages, and whenever he could, he would place the crystal there to relieve the pain.

It may be helpful to imagine the pain as the color red; the color of our body in the physical world. Imagine Selenite as the healing white light of the universe, absorbing and melting away this red pain.

Selenite may be all you need. If not, proceed with Mochi Balls. Mochi Balls are rich Hematite concretions also known as Shaman Stones. These have been much sought after stones by my clients who have arthritis. They rub it over their weakened bones to strengthen the energy, grounding it back to the core of the earth. In this case, it's easy to imagine the bones/joints hardening and strengthening like the solid brown Mochi Ball.

Another client of mine used these two crystals to strengthen her knees after knee surgery. She's been dancing well before doctor-prescribed time!

You may use any form of Selenite you choose - wand, slab, heart, eggs, balls. Mochi Balls come in only one form. Selenite will absorb in water, so choose another cleaning method for this crystal. Clean, charge and program the crystals before using!

Again, time and frequency will be up to your intuition (your trust in your own instincts), how long you have had the pain and how strong is your willpower to heal. Main thing is, don't worry about it, just begin...

a bevy of cures

QUESTION: Hi Sheila, last summer you told me of some crystals I could use for my health conditions which are severe arthritis, bone on bone in the knees and the same in my spine, no disk left in lower back. You recommended mochi balls and selenite. I have a couple of pieces of selenite, one is a rounded wand for massaging, the other a narrow rectangle piece that splinters so it can't be used for massaging. I recently ordered the mochi balls from you on ebay, as well as some citrine tumbled stones and the window quartz pieces/palm stones. I have numerous books but still get overwhelmed.

How do I use the mochi balls?
I got the citrine stones to give to my children who are financially struggling in this economy. I don't know why I got the crystal quartz, I guess that will be revealed to me on a need to know basis. I also want to take some gemstone elixir but don't know which stones to use...I think you may have told be calcite. Is that yellow, orange? How many stones do I put into each preparation, and how much water? Do I use spring water, tab water, distilled? And what kind of container? Would a quart fruit jar be ok? It is clear glass but has a metal lid.

I am considering ordering your Dad's book? I will maybe next month or ask for it for my birthday later this month. I may need to get some calcite stones from you for the elixir if you have the kind I need.

I also have a friend who is going through so much grief. Actually, two friends. One lost her husband suddenly. I made her an amethyst and rose quartz bracelet but I feel that she is still suffering a lot. My other friend lost her husband 2 years ago and recently lost her oldest son in a car accident. As I look through all my books on grief, nothing jumps out at me for her. I know apache tears is good for that but I don't have the beads to make jewelry and she isn't open to the whole idea of stones. I do this jewelry thing to help those that don't realize how much stones can help. They are open to wearing the jewelry. I clean it and dedicate it to them as their needs manifest themselves to the stone. It is my way of helping people who aren't open to this way of healing. I know one doesn't need to believe in them for them to work...they just have to wear the stones.

I thank you again and look forward to hearing from you and getting your suggestions

ANSWER:

The mochi balls you use by rubbing over the affected area. I haven't done this myself, but several clients who have arthritis swear by mochi balls, so I wanted to pass on this information!

The Citrine crystals make sure that your kids keep them wherever they keep cash so that there can be a flow. Many clients also swear by Citrine and it is commonly known as the "Merchant Stone". I myself prefer Aventurine and Bloodstone, but again, it's up to personal prefernce and resonance with each crystal.

Calcite comes in many different colors. I use one tumbled stone (3/4"-1") to one glass of water, more or less. You will come up with your own method, but to start off, you can use this measurement for elixirs. And the water is again up to you. Whatever you are used to drinking. I drink tap water, so that is what I use, but if you're used to some other kind of water, I would use that. A fruit jar is fine. If you are concerned with the metal lid, I would just place a paper towel over that top if you are concerned with impurities falling into the water while creating.

My dad's book, "Incredibly Believable!" is a wonderful, uplifting and easy to read book. Wherever he is now in the universe, he is looking out for us as all the advanced souls are. We overcome our mortal dilemmas and crystals are definitely an aid in the right direction.

For your friends going through grief, I would definitely stick with black stones because these are much stronger in absorbing and transmuting negativity. If you can't find Apache Tear beads, definitely use Obsidian. Apache Tears are a form of Obsidian.

I also started my own jewelry line since we last emailed, you can check it out at http://sheilasatin.etsy.com/ and if you have any custom requests, I am happy to create!

You are certainly correct, you don't have to believe in the crystals for them to work! But it's just the more powerful when you do accept their energies :)
