When Rocks Form Natural Hearts

Here's an example of Mother Nature's love: a waxy white Calcite crystal forming on a bed of glittering Drusy Quartz in a heart shaped geode. Natural rocks forming hearts can be found all over the Earth with just a little bit of patience and an open mind!

Cleaning Celestite Clusters

We obtained some beautiful Celestite geode clusters for I Dig Crystals. These are all one-of-kind angelic blue crystals sparkling in rocky geode bowls. The rocky matrix is crumbly but the crystals are solid, so we tried to wash out as much of the sandy debris as possible and let them shine in the sun to dry before listing!

A chunk of Petrified Wood

When a tree is buried in mud, sand, gravel or volcanic ash quickly and deeply as a result of a floor, volcanic eruption or other catastrophic event, it will fossilize. This process is called petrification, in which organic material in the tree is replaced my minerals. Petrified Wood is found worldwide and can help scientists determine the environment of the past because the petrification process can protect the original composition of the wood with complete detail.

Check out the latest Petrified Wood pieces in the I Dig Crystals Shop.

Raw Rubies are Purple

Natural rough Rubies form your new pair of crystal healing minerals. These are rich, magenta-purple stones with black mineral inclusions, remaining in their natural hexagonal shape. Ruby is a variety of Corundum, one of the world's most valuable gemstones. Ruby is the Queen of colored gemstones, valued for its rarity and found in purple, pink to red colors caused by natural chromic oxide minerals. For those unfamiliar with rough Rubies, these gemstones are opaque and may display many natural inclusions, veins and rocky surfaces. These unique Ruby stones can stand upright for Feng Shui displays or lie flat for chakra healing work. Shop for genuine Ruby Minerals at I Dig Crystals.
