CRYSTALS: Pregnancy & Chakra Plates

QUESTION: Hi Sheila, Re. crystals and pregnancy: I read that a few weeks prior to delivery, the mother should keep her red stones - jasper or garnets, close to her to give her strength and energy for the delivery. What are your thoughts on this?

Re. chakra plated: other than one with all the chakra crystals, could one use more than one plate at a time? Could I also use Selenite at the crown, a grounding stone at the base and hand held crystals or would that be too much?

ANSWER: Hi Barbara, yes, red stones are excellent to keep near the mother-to-be for strength and energy. People have also found fertility stones like Moonstone, Shiva Lingams and Unakite to be helpful in a smooth pregnancy. 

As for laying of the chakra plates, if you are doing a general healing, I would focus on the main chakras. If you are focusing on a specific intent, you can use as many crystals directed to this purpose as you want. However, keep in mind that some people are much more sensitive to crystal energies than others. For those who are sensitive to the energies, they may find it to be too strong and aggressive if you use many stones in combination.  If you are working on yourself, it is easier to judge. If you are working on others, I would experiment with adding a few other stones besides the chakra plates and if they are doing okay when you check in with them, then feel free to add more. Sometimes people are just not ready to deal with all of the energies that the crystals may be extracting or instilling, so you want to take it slowly with one intent and just a few crystals for the purpose.

QUESTION: Hey! My co-worker would like to know if you have anything that may help with fertility. She has been trying to have a baby for 2 years with no luck. QUESTION: Sheila, thank you very much for taking the time in sending me a reply. Last weekend, one of my friends told me that she's experiencing psychic attacks (actually getting the physical effects of it now) and I happened to be wearing my pendant. I instantly gave it to her, asked her to cleanse and energize. (She said she will program it the following day. It was already night time and didn't want her husband to see her). That was okay, right? If not, please tell me what I should have done.

ANSWER: Yes, you can definitely give your crystals to a friend in need, as long as she cleans and reprograms them to her own energies, she will not be affected by yours.

Moonstone is a great fertility stone when programmed for this purpose. Moonstone radiates with the feminine qualities of the Moon Goddess, yin energy.

You can also try fertility shiva lingam stones, which are egg-shaped stones but even on both ends. The Shiva lingam represents the primeval energy of the Creator.
