New! Larimar the Atlantis Stone

Larimar is a relatively newly discovered stone, representing the New Age with its cool blue energies of tranquility. Larimar connects us to the wisdom of Atlantis's crystal age. Just gazing into the soft blues of Larimar help you to relax into a state of serenity. This is a great crystal to have with you when you are anxious, going into surgery or seeing the dentist!

Larimar is also known as Dolphin Stone, Atlantis Stone or Blue Pectolite. Larimar is a rare form of Pectolite only found in the Caribbean. It occurs as needle-like crystals, grown together in a solid mass and forms in cavities within basaltic lava. The copper substitution in the stone produces the soft blues. Besides the white mineral streaks, you  may also find red and brown areas of oxidation or Hematite inclusions. The more intense the blue, the higher value of the Larimar. Please note that natural Larimar is photosensitive and may fade over time in high light or heat, so keep your stones protected when not in use.
