TESTIMONIAL: Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy Testimonial by Lisa Satin, C.ht
I took Hypnotherapy Level 1 in 2003. My Father Dr. Sunny Satin who was a world teacher held the course in Delhi, India. I was doing volunteer work in Thailand at the time, and decided to fly to India for the course. Here, I met my sister Sheila who had flown from the USA, and many other eagerly awaiting students. We had a blend of people in the classroom, including locals, travelers, housewives, medical doctors, business people, energy healers and more.

Within the first few hours, we were learning about the Theory of the Mind. It blew me away!
I have always had a strong ego throughout this life. With a quick wit and a relatively fast ability to rationalize, I could not always understand the thought processes and actions of others. Why could they not see and do things my way? Isn’t the answer always obvious? My way is the best way. Although I knew conceptually that each human being is equal, I could not help the sense of superiority I often felt.

As my Father built the model of the Human mind piece by piece on the board, everything began to make sense. Good, Bad, Positive, Negative, Experiences, Memories, Fears… even Past Lives. That day, he opened the door to a whole new world of thinking, and more importantly… a way of understanding myself and the people around me. I understood that we are all different, including the workings of our minds.

As the revelation was taking full effect, we turned our attention to the Theory of Suggestibility. Learning about human suggestibility not only opened the doors of understanding even wider, it blasted that door off its hinges!

I had always struggled socially as a young child because I was the shyest kid in the class. Why couldn’t I be like the popular kids who said and did what they wanted, without thinking first? And why is it that even through adulthood we are all so different? Some women can parade around in halter tops, exposing their midriffs, while others insist on covering up. Some men are the center of any party, while others cower from the spotlight. Why?

The Theory of Suggestibility had all the answers! An actual light bulb flickered bright in my mind, and I could see the whole classroom of students light up with new awareness. I now had a greater appreciation for each type of human personality, and I could see how it all made perfect sense.

Finally, it was time to put Theory into action! We paired up and began to hypnotize each other with the new techniques we had just learned. I was amazed to see how easy it is to hypnotize others! This was a gateway to accessing their subconscious…where knowledge, power, and information is unparalleled.

As the class came to a close, I realized I had been given powerful information and skills that had been kept secret for ages. I took these techniques and began to practice on friends and peers in Thailand, happily anticipating Hypnotherapy 2…

By August 22nd, 2004 I had become a Clinically Certified Hypnotherapist. Thereafter, I registered with the Indian Board of Alternative Medicines and completed all qualifications to become a Doctor of Hypnotherapy. Yes, I am Doctor Lisa Satin, but you can call me Lisa!
Six years have passed since my first Hypnotherapy training. I have helped hundreds of people in different countries with the information I have learned, and continue to do so each day.

I am now thrilled to share this with you! I will be teaching the Hypnotherapy Level 1 Certification Course at Satin Crystals on the weekend of December 5th and 6th. If you have even a slight interest in pursuing new knowledge that can help people everywhere, including yourself, I urge you to join us!

The Course fee is $335. Don’t let money get in your way, because this investment will not only come back to you as spiritual development, but as financial flow. I now charge $150/hour for Hypnotherapy sessions. My uncle Yogesh in India, who also took the courses from my Father, sees numerous clients a day. This is true for many of our students, who have now become full time healers and teachers themselves. One of the most important messages we learn is that with the Power of the Mind, which is the ultimate power, you can achieve anything you wish for. I stand behind this statement, because I know it to be true.

EVENT: Jewelry Classes

I just taught my Intro to Jewelry Class yesterday and already looking forward to the next one on January 30th. Here is an interesting article...

11 Reasons to Take a Jewelry Class
by Beading Daily

1: Conserve materials
Seems obvious, but I probably wasted a mile of metal in my early forays with wire. If only I had taken a class and seen early on how to, for instance, use wire from the spool to be more economical.

2: Learn safely about safety
If you’re a beginner, absolutely take classes in anything with flame, heat, toxic fumes or corrosive substances. Lampworking is an obvious example, with open flame and potentially explosive consequences. But using a hammer, drill, or dremel poses hazards, too—especially if you’re sitting there thinking, what’s a dremel?
A Bead Fest student has fun in a safely supervised lampworked-glass class.

3: Know the must-have tools
I am oddly attracted to specialty pliers with alien noses and funky-colored handles. And while a tool for bending a “V” in metal is something useful for people who do that a lot, I was taught to achieve this effect with tools I already owned, for the few times I want to do that.
Step by Step Wire Jewelry Editor-in-Chief and Bead Fest teacher Denise Peck brings shopping karma to our Bead Fest director, Karen Keegan.

4: Discover which tools do what
In the same light, if I was making a lot of V shapes, that tool would make sense. And, without the insight of a teacher, I wouldn’t have even known that tool existed.
I’m sure a teacher could tell me what the heck these pliers are!

5: Observe efficiency
Watch a teacher at work. Pay attention to their economy of movement, how they place things at hand in their work space and their sequence of production. Good teachers are usually as productive as they are creative. They can show you ways to be faster as well as better at the technique.
Bead Fest teacher Janice Berkebile shows how to keep your work space organized.

6: Add expert tricks and tips to your repertoire
How often have you seen something demonstrated and said, “Gee, I never thought to do it like that.” Exactly.
Bead Fest teacher and vendor Lisa Niven Kelly shows a student her technique for stamping in metal.

7: Learn about your medium
For instance, I didn’t know until I took a class that I could melt away an entire piece of silver wire trying to fuse it into a ring. The teacher showed me exactly how to position the torch.
Take a class for any kind of work with a torch so you don’t burn up your art. Believe me, I'm talking from experience.

8: Watch a technique in action
Some techniques are just plain difficult to explain in words or illustrations. I only learned Viking knit by watching it demonstrated by a skilled teacher.
Viking knit is easier to learn when you see it done in person. I didn't know which end was up, down, around, or through until I watched Denise Peck actually doing it.

9: Discover new resources
Teachers have their favorite sources and favorite brands for a reason. Expand your own sources for tools and materials from your mentors; consider their tried and true recommendations.

10: Be inspired
Most teachers would love to be spending more time in their studio, so we’re grateful for their generosity in sharing their time and expertise. Teaching is a special calling. Take advantage of being up close to the technique and material in your teacher’s work. Ask questions. Let that visual stimulation encourage you! Above all, show respect and don’t reproduce their designs for your own gain.

11. Make new friends and network
Enjoy the company of others of a like mind. Taking a class is fun. Meet people from many backgrounds with many diverse styles and skills. Share stories of juggling family, jobs, and jewelry. Hear why others are so passionate, and what other art forms lead them here. You’ll learn as much from your fellow students as from the teachers! Plus, you may find yourself with dinner companions!

CRYSTALS: Broken Heart

QUESTION: ...(regarding breakup)...I am going to see a tarot lady tomorrow...what is your view on that? And from a natural point of view what can I do? I know I sound pathetic and I don't recognise myself in writing this...but for the second time in my life (first time I was 15) I am completly heartborken :(

ANSWER: Hi, ignoring him is DEFINITELY the best and only option if you want to cut ties with him otherwise all those old feelings will still be lingering around and you wont' be able to get over it. It is easier to be independent and focus on yourself at this time.

As for my views of tarot and psychics, I think they can definitely give you a glimpse into where you are in your life now, but they don't take into account free will which changes your "life plan" with every decision you make. So, in the beginning we all are born into life with a sort of life plan, but we don't always follow it, it's just a guideline. I have only done tarot cards once and it was just telling me what's going on now, not really what I should be doing about it or whatnot, so it wasn't that useful to me. It is still itneresting though!

As for a natural point of view, I'd recommend that you keep reminding yourself of the BIG PICTURE. All these small stresses in life are simply lessons to make us better, even though it's naturally hard in the moment. Allow yourself to feel all the emotions you are feeling, do not feel guilty about them! They are all part of the process. But know that you are not in a depressing hole, it's all a cycle, like life and death...everything comes and goes and all we can do is go with the flow.

If you would like me to recommend some stones, I would suggest Rhodochrosite with Malachite, I get the feeling these two will be good specifically for you as they are dealing with releasing emotional traumas, strengthening the heart and allowing you to be strong in your self.

Please do keep in touch and let me know how you are doing or if you need any support, I am here for you.

Sincerely,
Sheila Satin
