CRYSTALS: Windows
QUESTION: Hello Sheila, Your blog is very down-to-earth . Not intimidating at all. I've learn more about crystals than I ever had. thank you for that. I have a question. I need protection from energies that come into my window. What can I hang in the window or put on the window seal to block the energies? thank you . Have a great day
ANSWER: Hi, thanks for the compliment and your question. There are several things you can do with crystals to protect yourself from negative energies using this portal (don't forget to clean, charge and program the stones before use - check our CRYSTALS FAQs tab on www.satincrystals.com):
1. Hang orange Carnelian (like pictured) rings in your window (at least 3)
2. Tape black Jet crystals on each corner of your window. You can even place a little salt on the bottom corners before placing your Jet stones to cleanse the area.
3. Place Amethyst Geodes in the window facing outwards to absorb and transmute any negative energies to positive before entering your home.
If you need help obtaining any of these stones, please feel free to email me at satincrystals@gmail.com or visit our website!
Sincerely,
Sheila Satin

ARTICLE: Selling in Tough Times
Forwarding this information on to you sellers as posted on the Interweave site:
No Business Like Show Business
If you do craft shows, you know show season is upon us and it’s time to dust off the canopy and prepare for the warm months ahead and a busy schedule. There are so many fun things about doing craft shows: getting outdoors, meeting new people, developing relationships with customers and other artists, and making money! Doing craft shows is also very hard work and there’s been lots written on how to assure success at shows. You’ve probably heard a lot of it. Make eye contact, don’t sit all day, encourage people to come into your booth.

Have a Positive Attitude
During these economic times, though, just as we’re having to make adjustments in other areas of our lives, there may need to be a bit of a shift in the way we approach selling our jewelry. Let’s face it, buying jewelry has always been a luxury. But I believe it doesn’t have to be a luxury women forego. Plus, often when people feel the most stressed, buying themselves a small gift is exactly what they want to do. Having a positive attitude is rule number one for selling.
Make It Easier for Customers to Buy
Today’s market requires a good range of price points. That doesn’t mean giving away pieces for pennies that took you hours to make. But come up with some new, original designs that take little time with inexpensive materials and make them available next to your more expensive pieces. If you draw a crowd with beautiful designs, priced to sell, chances are your pricier pieces will be hard for some of them to resist!

CRYSTALS: Medicine Wheel
QUESTION: OK, I have built an American Indian Medicine wheel in backyard in the south side. It takes up about a 1/3 or more of space and is an 8ft circle. To the south of that are perrenial plants - five keeping with 5 being a power number with the medicine wheel. The south side of the wheel is generally speaking the direction of environmental or respect toward the earth. To the right or north of the wheel is the 2nd half of the yard. In the medicine wheel it represents good mental health and a reminder we should always try to stay healthy in our minds even when things happen that makes us sad or happy. The east, which points to where I am sitting now, represents spirituality. It reminds us of a belief in a creator and respecting all things. the opposite of me is the west is a reminder to keep our physical bodies healthy by looking after ourselves. This points to a very large rosemary bush. There is more information and there is alot to the medicine wheel on the web.
Any hoot the question is I would like to get some crystals to place in the areas ouside and maybe inside the wheel. Mostly the area to the north - the mental health area is of concern. This is since in my walk in life and the representation of the medicine wheel being my life's walk, and that I am bipolar. Now this north half of the yard I planted wildflowers and clover. It forms a U-shape with the outer being the wild flowers and inner clover. You stand on the walkway looking into an upside down U. Within this U at the crest of the radius I would like to place one or more spheres.
The question is do you have any recommendations for me? Most likely I will place a short yet wide tree stump at the crest too. So, I will hallow it out at the top large enough to hold the spheres or cyrstals. As far as that goes maybe a different geormetric form may be recommended. I also would like to scatter some tumbled crystals where the plants are sown to enhance growth with them. Any recommendations for this too???
And, don't forget Sheila, I will be working with you on some personal jewelry, hopefully soon too. I would like to thank you for your time with this. I am gon'na post a pic or two in my profile pic area for you to see.
ANSWER: Hi, thanks for your question. It sounds like you have a magnificient project going on in creating your personal medicine wheel. I can definitely make suggestions for you:
1. For Mental Health, I would use Sodalite & Amethyst stones.
2. Spheres are the perfect choice as they are a uniform shape, conducive to the energy of the wheel.
3. As for stones to help the surrounding garden grow, Moss Agate is the best for stimulating growth. However, if you have any chipped stones that you are no longer using, your plants will find their energies beneficial and they will find being back in the earth a relief.
4. Whenever you are ready for your personalized jewelry, email me at sheila@idigcrystals.com and we'll come up with something fantastic!
May health be with you,
Sheila Satin

CRYSTALS: Rosacea
QUESTION: Hi Sheila, I have rosacea. Is there a crystal I could use to help with it? thanks.
ANSWER: Hi, thanks for your question. For any skin inflammations, i highly recommend using Calcite to alleviate the symptoms.
A client of mine came to me when she wanted to find a more natural healing method than using Pro-Active for her face acne. I suggested she drink Calcite elixirs twice a day. She used a few tumbled Calcite stones to infuse the water with the crystals' energies - about half a glass in the morning and a half a glass in the evening. Drinking the cleaned, charged and programmed crystal elixir helped to improve her skin condition without unnatural chemicals.
You can do the same with tumbled Calcite stones or use a natural Calcite bowl for easy elixir making. Of course you will learn to adjust your healing regimen as to how long you soak the water, how much you drink, etc...
Sincerely,
Sheila Satin

CRYSTALS: Red Diamond
Famed Red Diamond Returns to Natural History Museum
Los Angeles’ Kazanjian Foundation Brings Storied Gemstone Back
Through May 28 April 6, 2009 — The “Kazanjian Red” drew thousands when it first appeared at the Museum in October. After a stop at the Gemological Institute of America, the family-owned jewelry foundation has brought the diamond back to the Museum’s Gem and Mineral Hall. It will be on view from April 6 to May 28, 2009.
Though there are many diamonds with a pink hue, true blood-red diamonds are the rarest of gems — only three large stones are known to exist. And of that trio, none has as fascinating and exciting history as the Kazanjian Red. Found around 1927 in the diamond fields of South Africa, the red diamond was a sensational discovery. During World War II, it was stolen in Arnhem during Nazi occupation of the Netherlands, and hidden in a salt mine with other looted treasures. When it was recovered by American soldiers, it was at first mistaken for a ruby. The diamond’s original owners did not survive the war and the gem was eventually sold. It passed through several hands, including those of Sir Ernest Oppenheimer, until it was purchased by a private collector in 1970. There it remained hidden until 2007 when it was purchased by Los Angeles-based Kazanjian Bros. Inc.
This is its first exhibition in the U.S. Founded in 1918, Kazanjian Bros. Inc. is a family business that started in New York, established a Los Angeles salon in 1928, and moved to Beverly Hills in 1969. James Kazanjian's lifelong search for unusual and exquisite gems took him all over the world. During his worldwide travels, he was able to acquire jewels from the Maharajahs in India, the largest rubies and sapphires in the world, and other historical jewels from a variety of luminaries.
Through the display and sale of private jewelry collections, the company’s Kazanjian Foundation raises funds for scholarship programs for underprivileged youths.

CRYSTALS: Motivation

QUESTION: Hi Sheila.....I'm buying some stuff from your store....and I wanna know if you can tell me what would you recommend for some adult that the medical test says that the Metabolism is not working well..it is working much less than normal.....my english is not very good...but I hope you understand my question :)I'll be waiting for your answer...THANKS!.....and BLessings!!!
ANSWER: Hi, thanks for your email and your purchases from I Dig Crystals. The two crystals I highly recommend for regulating your metabolism is Red Jasper, a stone great for increasing stamina and physical energy and Labradorite, which is great for motivation and pursuing activities! It would be great wearing either of these as a bracelet or anklet. If you need any custom pieces made, feel free to email me at sheila@idigcrystals.com or visit my website at http://www.idigcrystals.com

CRYSTALS: Multiple Sclerosis
pictured: fluorite massage wand
QUESTION: Hi Sheila, My friend has Mutiple Sclerosis. Is there a special crystal or crystals she should be using or wearing?
ANSWER: Thanks for your email. Multiple Sclerosis begins in the central nervous system. I would highly recommend Fluorite to calm the nerves. Remember to clean, charge and program this crystal for her to wear or to hold or place on her body when she is lying down. You can even get a Fluorite massage wand to help soothe the nerves and meridians (the energy nerves of your aura).
Multiple Sclerosis is a defect in the immune system. My favorite crystal to enhance the immune system has always been Labradorite. It's great for anyone who needs that extra boost of energy, strength and motivation, from those who are ill to those who are vying for an Olympic championship. In this case, she should wear Labradorite, lie in a grid (with pieces surrounding the corners of her bed or room) and/or drink it as a gem elixir.
To strengthen the aura energy (as all physical diseases do first begin in the energy body), make sure that her aura is always sealed. This can be done with pure intention, but in this day and age, it's best to be aided with the powerful healing energy of crystals. We always use Selenite to seal the aura of any energy leaks and holes. Quartz is another great enhancer of the aura energy. I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to email me at sheila@idigcrystals.com!
Sincerely,
Sheila Satin
