The Corks of Nature

Cork Oak Hoop Earrings

These Estancia cork earrings were inspired by the uninhibited energy that flows through us as we spend a day sipping on the with the juicy elixir of the gods. Natural corks will be a thing of nostalgia as an increasing number of wineries opt for screw tops and cheaper synthetic closures. 

Corks are harvested from the Cork Oak. The harvesting of cork does not harm the tree, in fact, no trees are cut down during the harvesting process. Only the bark is extracted, and a new layer of cork regrows, making it a renewable resource.

Packing up Crystals for the Move

Another chapter ends for Satin Crystals as we securely packed up the remaining crystals to be moved down to our place of origin, Orange County! With the help of supportive friends, Lisa and I were able to get everything wrapped up in 2 days. Lisa will be moving Satin Crystals to Orange County once again, while I remain with I Dig Crystals here in San Francisco. 

The move will not effect you, our beloved customers and friends, as both websites will remain active throughout!

Charles Darwin's Lost Fossil Collection

Dr Falcon-Lang, who is based in the department of earth sciences at Royal Holloway, University of London, spotted some drawers in a cabinet marked "unregistered fossil plants".

"Inside the drawer were hundreds of beautiful glass slides made by polishing fossil plants into thin translucent sheets," Dr Falcon-Lang explained.

Blocked Chakras = Depression

I once performed a crystal healing session on a friend who was in depression mode. It wasn't surprising that her chakras were fully blocked, but I was still taken aback when the pendulum that I was using to measure the chakra flows was at a standstill at each of the major chakra energy points. This means that there is no energy coming in or going out. There is no energy flowing within the aura as the chakras are not being energized by the life force. Whether there has been a gradual shut down or a sudden, it is up to the depressed individual to make that decision to heal. Luckily, my friend who I did a crystal healing on in her depressed state did find the motivation she needed within the healing realm and is today a great healer herself, with the ability to empathize with others who are in a situation she has overcome. -Sheila Satin

A friend of mine I had not seen in 2.5 years came to visit last weekend. He was admiring the new creations I had sprawled out on the living room table as we all chatted and swapped stories. He felt like he should start wearing some crystal healing jewelry, after hearing about their positive benefits for so long. Another friend of mine, sitting at the table with us, showed off his Tigers Eye bracelet and told him how great the energy  has been in boosting his confidence, especially with girls! So, my friend was very curious to try it out for himself, but said he had never worn jewelry in his life and was even feeling funny wearing the new watch he had got. We gave him several options, trying to tone it down to plain black Obsidian or green Bloodstone which are popular among men. So you can imagine our surprise when he was attracted to a very showy piece mixed with tumbled clear Quartz stones and faceted Dalmatian Jasper beads! He could not take it off and had to have it immediately. 

That night he went out on the town. The next morning he told me that he had such "mojo" with the ladies that he is now a definite endorsement for positive crystal healing powers!
